Dino. Flamenco Superstar

The family were camped out at Hotel Villa Flamenca. Fridays is "Flamenco" night so we stayed at the hotel bar for a taste of Spanish culture. Little did I know that I would end up being the star turn!

Flamenco at the Flamenca.

The stage is set in the pool area, the backdrop being the gardens and the full moon. The first act were the 3 women dancers dressed in traditional Sevillano dresses. After the dance they exited stage and it was the man's turn. A solo dance with plenty of hand movement and stomping of feet. "Its quite easy this Flamenco dancing". One day I'll learn to keep my mouth shut.

Dancing with Abanicos.

The women had gone behind stage to perform a quick change. This would be the theme for the evening as they displayed an impressive array of Sevillano dresses of all colours. With all the dancers on stage Kath shuffled her chair as far as possible under the table. Why? "I'm going into hiding". From the corner of my eye I saw one of the lady's exit stage and appeared to be walking towards our table. Sure enough she was coming to get me. And within seconds I was performing my very own unique style of flamenco on stage. At the end, I received a "Bravo" from the professionals and a standing ovation from the crowd. Or where they dashing for the exit?

Bravo Dino!
