BBQ at the Marsh's

No sooner had the Marsh's arrived for their summer jollies in Nerja, we were making plans to leave for Venice. We still had time for a farewell BBQ at Stevo's place. Hopefully he will not send us away with food poisoning.

Soft Lad fires up the Barbie.

Initial teething problems with operating the BBQ were soon corrected and a mighty feast was served. Soft Lad's forecast of carbonised meat failed to materialise and everything was cooked to perfection. Monica is now convinced we should invest in one. I will need a few cooking lessons as everyone knows the BBQ is the Male domain!

Paraiso Blanco almost burnt down.

Entertainment was provided by the boys in the form of playing "Top Trumps". I had no idea that kids still enjoyed these games. Joe's new deck was the new "Doctor Who" set. My lack of Doctor Who knowledge and what scores were any good on the cards was a major stumbling block. I was easily thrashed by everyone.

Brotherly love.

We had an early flight in the morning so it was bed time for us. The boys were trying every trick in the book to avoid the dreaded "Bed Time". Ben proved to have a talent for stalling. He gave Monica a hug that was so cute we had to take a photo. He then chirps up "Let me see it!". Then it was every ones turn for a hug and a photo after Ben had given his approval of the photo. This earned him an extra 15 minutes staying up time!

Ben delaying the inevitable bed time.
