A stroll around Giudecca

The most popular question that is asked whenever I go to Venice seems to be along the lines of “Is Monica really from Venice?”. When you say exactly where in Venice you usually get a “aha, so its not really Venice!”. Time for a Geography lesson!


Is Monica really from Venice?

Venice is made up of seven districts known as “Sestieres”. The island of Giudecca is one of these Sestieres. As a picture is worth a thousand words and all, lets put Giudecca into context with some of Venice’s most famous landmarks as we took an early evening stroll around Giudecca.
