Andrea the Maestro.
Andrea tried to teach me the basics. Three chords to begin. The first being “Sol”, followed by “Re” and “La Minore”. Andrea apologised for not knowing the name of the notes, as that is not the Italian way. It wouldn’t have made a blind bit of difference to me anyway. How you are supposed to get your fingers on the right string and then shift to the next chord is beyond me. After 20 minutes of pure agony, for my poor fingers and for the poor neighbours listening to the awful sound I was creating, I decided that my career as a Guitarist should stop right there.
Andrea’s next student was the spirited Augusto. He took to it instantly. I suspect that he may have a few years of experience on me though.
Andrea's next student.
